Wer bin ich?

Ich bin Malerin und lebe in einem Dorf in der Eifel, nahe am Rhein. Hinter einem kleinen Hügel ist das Ahrtal, die 'kleine Provence' Deutschlands. Hier bin ich geboren.

Was konnte ich anderes tun als die Natur meiner Heimat zu lieben?

Sehr früh begann ich zu malen, mit 12 mein erstes Ölbild, um mich dann durch sämtliche Malmedien zu malen und doch wieder beim Öl zu landen, weil ich damit alles machen kann.

Irgendwann hieß es, was Vernünftiges machen. Ich studierte Latein und Germanistik, besonders interessierte mich Philosophie. Fast studierte ich zu Ende, aber dann merkte ich, eine Zukunft als Lehrer konnte ich mir nicht vorstellen.

Da ich ja nun immer noch keinen vernünftigen Berufsabschluss hatte, machte ich neben meiner Tätigkeit am PC bei einem Verlag noch den Abschluss als Mediengestalter. In gewissem Maße war hier eine kreativ- grafische Entfaltung möglich. Nach einigen Jahren und meiner Familiengründung, schien es möglich: ich arbeitete als Maler.

Das war vor 20 Jahren.

Hin und wieder nahm ich an Gruppenausstellungen teil und fünf oder sechsmal hatte ich eine größere Einzelaustellung. Meine Bilder zeigen Landschaften, Bäume, Blätter, und Farbmuster.

Who I am?

I am a painter, I live in a village in the countryside Eifel, nearby the Rhein. Beside my village are some hills and behind one of them is the Ahr-Valley, called ´the little Provence of Germany`. Here I was born. What else could happen but to love the wonderful nature of my homeland?

I started painting as a litle child, my first oil painting at 12 years, then tried out paintingmediums for years, to end up again oilpainting, because I can do most things with it.

Getting older it was time to do something rational. I studied Latin and German, very interested in philosophie, towards the end of the course, when I realized, there was no teacher in me.

What else, again I had to look for a professional qualification. Working in a publishing house I become a media designer. A kind of creativ working was possible. After a few years I started a familiy and someday it was possible to live as a painter. This is 20 years ago and I had some exhibitions during the years.

My paintings show the wonderful countryside, trees, leaves and patters of colours.
